In this role as the Process Safety Management (PSM)/RMP Expert you will be accountable for
driving results by being responsible for the development, implementation and sustainment of the
site Process Safety Management (PSM)/ RMP and EHS programs to ensure the safety of all
employees, visitors and contractors, protect the environment, and maintain compliance with all
Federal, State and local regulations.

Salary Range – 80,000 to 100,000
Education/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline with minimum 3 years of
experience in a PSM facility (preferably pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing
environment)
Experience can be substituted for Bachelors Degree
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Essential Job Duties
Maintain protection of the health, environment and safety of our employees, customers,
and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest
priority.
Provide attention to detail, and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the
work site as well as high quality product.
Own and promote the Process Safety Management (PSM) process for the 3V Sigma USA
site. Be the outspoken proponent for process safety and ensure all plant personnel are
knowledgeable of their role in PSM.
Individual responsibility for doing engineering calculations and determinations required
for PSM /RMP
Familiar with RAGAGEP – recognized and generally accepted good engineering
practices. Such as ASME, API, NFPA, UL, ANSI, ISA, etc
Establish, develop, implement and approve the Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk
Management Plan (RMP). Ensure those programs are compliant with regulatory
requirements. Routinely audit plant processes, procedures and practices to ensure
compliance with the programs.
Facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and track action item completion consistent
with regulatory a requirements for all covered processes.
Develop, implement, and manage a Management of Change / Pre Start-up Safety Review
(MOC/PSSR) process consistent with regulatory requirements.
Provide on-going reporting of PSM / RMP / RC program status to plant management.
Develop, update, and track action plans pertaining to PSM / RMP tasks.
Collaborate with the Training Specialist and Subject Matter Coordinators to ensure
compliance with PSM requirements associated with the creation of Operating
Information and training of personnel.
Maintain current knowledge of company / government rules and regulations.
Coordinate the completion of gap analyses with Plan Personnel and track action items to
completion.
Provide consultation and assistance related to other areas of knowledge and expertise
(i.e., process engineering, safety, environmental activities, etc.).
Provide plant management with direction and leadership in the development of strategic
Process Safety and Risk Management action plans.
Interface with mutually beneficial support groups associated with Process Safety and
Risk Management – such as other Purchasing, Engineering, Safety, Environmental,
Manufacturing, Human Resources, Insurance and participants in Site Audits.
Participate in all formal and informal investigations of incidents as deemed appropriate
by the plant staff. Track all PSM incident action items to completion.
Develop / train site employees in Process Safety and Risk Management systems such as
Risk Ranking, PHAs, and siting analysis, to support and further the education of process
safety and risk engineering knowledge at the site.
Maintain a strong working relationship with ALL Managers to ensure overall site PSM
performance.
Working Environment:
- 3V Sigma is a chemical manufacturing plant site and the environment and hazards are
associated as such.
Physical requirements: - Frequent Standing, Walking, Bending, Stair Climbing
- Occasional movement of bulky/weighted equipment from 50-100lbs
- Frequent Exposure to environmental temperatures and conditions
- Frequent use of respiratory protection, and or elevated levels of PPE
- Able to respond to emergencies during normal and irregular times (weekends/nights)
