Job Duties: 10% Ensure compliance for above ground and underground storage tanks. 10% Perform other related and non-related duties as required. 10% Review proposed construction/renovation projects to identify and quantify asbestos containing materials that have potential for disturbance. Must be licensed Building Inspector.  10% Write contract specifications that will remove asbestos containing materials in full compliance with DHEC and OSHA regulations. Must be licensed Project Designer.  15% Manage asbestos removal projects in full compliance with DHEC and OSHA regulations. 15% Member of the Emergency Response Team and has received training required by OSHA 1910.120. 15% Prepares DHEC/EPA required Air Quality reporting. 5% Applies for construction and operation permits for all new boilers and generators. 5% Designs and performs special environmental projects as necessary.  5% Manage MUSC Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Program in compliance with prescribed Occupational Safety and Health policies and procedures. Must be Licensed Supervisor, Air Sampling Professional and Consultant.

Job summary: Employee will perform duties of Asbestos Program Manager, prepare Emission Inventory for all MUSC boilers and generators, apply for license (construction, operations, etc.) for new boilers and generators and perform special environmental projects as necessary.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 6: $39,960.00 – $56,947.00 – $73,935.00 (min – mid – max)

FLSA: Hourly

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and three years experience in environmental health programs or radiologic health. A bachelor’s degree in the natural or physical sciences, mathematics, public health, engineering or a related technical field may be substituted for two years of the required work experience.

Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must be Licensed Asbestos Supervisor, Inspector, Air Sampling Professional, Consultant and Project Designer. Valid SC Driver’s License.
