Job Duties: Contacts building representatives before each job to assure proper scheduling and all logistics regarding delivery commitments are fulfilled. Coordinates and attends door meetings with maintenance, compliance and other building representatives.Maintain constant communication with procurement specialists, to ensure budget and procurement compliance. Assist in budget development of large rated door projects.Direct preconstruction services and activities, including permitting for Interim Life Safety Measures and Infection Control Risk Assessments, as related to fire rated door assemblies.The management of fire rated door replacement projects for Hospital and University buildings. This includes: Hollow Metal, Wood Doors, Finish Hardware and Division 8 items. Facilitate projects by working with engineering & facilities shops, maintenance and regulatory compliance professionals. Develop a workflow to assist in ensuring project completion.Actively monitors vendor production schedules, keeping projects on schedule. Complete all job close-out procedures and conduct warranty follow-up (1-year warranty walks). Keep project files orderly and current, managing any project changes in master inventory documents. Participate in developing solutions for customers with technical issues, involving hardware and door products.

Job summary: The Door Coordinator will ensure timely completion of rated door assembly replacement projects with regards to compliance with life safety code and quality of workmanship.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $32,838.00 – $46,799.00 – $60,760.00 (min – mid – max)

FLSA: Hourly

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and one year relevant program experience.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of door, frame and hardware applications as they relate to UL, fire code, building code, ADA, life safety and other restrictions that relate to the healthcare, ambulatory and business occupancies. Knowledge of electronic hardware, door automation and access control functionality. Candidates must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills as well as a proven track record of consistently meeting project deadlines and logistical requirements. 2 years Door & Hardware experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Division 8. IFDIA certification or equivalent preferred.
