April 2020 Meeting Cancellation

Mar 31, 2020

ASSP South Carolina Chapter Membership:

As more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in South Carolina, we are formally canceling the April 20, 2020 meeting.

Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our members and attendees is paramount and serves as the reason for our decision to cancel the April meeting. May has traditionally been reserved for our annual SC-OSHA update. We have not yet decided to cancel or postpone the May 18, 2020 meeting. Your chapter officers have discussed the feasibility of holding a virtual meeting should social distancing guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) remain in effect through April. An email notification to all chapter members regarding the May meeting will be sent as soon as possible.

Please continue to follow the latest guidance from credible sources (such as CDC.gov and WHO.int) as well as information from our local health and government authorities. Be sure to check ASSP’s website (ASSP.org) frequently for updates as well. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your chapter officers if you need anything.
