Rachel Schlachter will be presenting on the mysterious subject of Industrial Hygiene.  We focus so much of our safety energy on physical issues that we often overlook the environmental issues that may be harming our employees.

Rachel Schlachter is the President of NextGenEHS, LLC out of Lexington, South Carolina. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Truman State University and a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) with an emphasis in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of South Carolina. Rachel holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. She has over ten years of experience in industrial hygiene and safety consulting. Rachel performs industrial hygiene sampling for everything from respirable crystalline silica to volatile organic compounds, conducts mock OSHA audits in manufacturing facilities, develops and aids in the implementation of written safety programs, performs noise assessments, conducts respirator fit testing, and performs client specific safety training.
