Welcome

Chapter Governance Bylaws

This past March, delegates made the historic decision to transition the House of Delegates to an Advisory Group, amending the ASSP bylaws to effect the change. ASSP has updated all governing documents to reflect this change, including the model chapter bylaws. Per the chapter affiliation agreement, chapters are required to maintain bylaws that are aligned with the model chapter bylaws. Chapter members will need to vote to amend our chapter’s bylaws to bring them into alignment with these updates. Please watch your inbox for an email to review the redline copy of our chapter’s bylaws with the proposed amendments and an e-ballot to vote on these changes.

Welcome to the 2022-2023 Chapter Year!

I hope everyone is having a great summer!  I am excited to be starting my first year as your SC ASSP Chapter President!  Your leadership team has been working behind the scenes to plan a year filled with networking opportunities, educational opportunities, and fun.

First, let me introduce you to your 2022-2023 SC ASSP Chapter leadership team:

President –          Tracey Wallace, CSP, ARM (803-397-4996)
Vice-President – John Michael Pierce, CSP (864-421-7736)
Secretary –          Michael Ehrmanntraut, ARM, OHST, CFI-I, AINS, CFPS (803-899-1165)
Treasurer –          Robert Wiggs, COHC (803-447-2127)

This chapter year we have set three goals for the year, each goal is designed to strengthen the chapter and increase value for all members.  We would like to invite each member to become involved and participate in the opportunities offered through out the year!  Any of the leadership team would be happy to talk with you about how you can get involved.  More details to come throughout the year, but our 3 goals are:

  1. Increase member involvement by providing shorter time commitment opportunities (this will be a great opportunity for those who are not able to commit to a full year of working on a task, but want to help).
  2. Increasing communication to members by use/increase technology (LinkedIn/Facebook) – (More to come on this, we are creating accounts now and will be communicating with everyone once they are up.  This is a great way to stay connected and network with the group even if you can’t make the meetings!)
  3. Conduct a PDC (with CEUs) – This is always a wonderful event, but it takes a lot of time/effort to coordinate (This would be a great project for someone to volunteer to assist with!).

We have also created a tentative schedule for the year.  I’m providing the dates so you can block your calendars.  We will send out email invitations for each meeting with the meeting details.  Our regular meetings are going to remain from 11:30-1 with lunch.  Please note the below is subject to change.
